December 2007 - Takaya Tours has wrapped up a successful and eventful 2007 paddling season! Many thanks to everyone who shared in our adventures – we hope you enjoyed your experience and can’t wait to see you again next year! Planning a group tour for 2008? New! Cates Park/Whey-Ah-Wichen Kayak Centre

April 2007 - This summer, Takaya Tours will be opening a new kayak concession in Cates Park, Whey-Ah-Wichen, in North Vancouver, only 25 minutes from downtown Vancouver!

Cates Park/Whey-Ah-Wichen holds a great deal of history for the Tsleil-Waututh First Nation as  it once was a summer village site for the First Nation. Whey-Ah-Wichen, which means ‘Faces the Wind’, is the ancestral name for the area.

The new kayak centre will offer kayak  rentals, as well as kayak and canoe tours. The centre is set to open on May 1st and will be located by the Park Manager’s station.

This year Takaya Tours is joining forces with Deep Cove Canoe and Kayak Centre to offer customers even more products and services!

April 2007 - If you would like more information, or would like to book a tour please contact us or visit Deep Cove Outdoors, opening this summer in Deep Cove in what was formerly Cove Bikes.
